Aberdeen Glen Golf Course
Coronavirus COVID-19 information

as of April 15, 2020

At this point, Aberdeen Glen Golf Course will resume golf play on May 8, 2020 (Date subject to change based on course conditions). As we continue to monitor the effects of the coronavirus (COVID-19) in our community, we want to share the actions that Aberdeen Glen is taking to keep our facility clean and safe for our guests and employees.

We have implemented numerous changes to the ways that we operate in order to be fully compliant with the Provincial Health Officer’s Orders. However, we cannot do this alone. Together, we are responsible for preventing the spread of COVID-19 and helping to flatten the curve.

Below are the measures we are diligently taking to keep our facilities safe.

  • No push cart rentals or rental clubs.

  • Only one person per power cart.

  • Increase the gap between tee times to allow more space between groups.

  • Allowing a maximum of 3 people in the Proshop at any given time.

  • Enable social distancing by marking the Proshop floor to indicate where it is safe to stand.

  • Flip cups upside down so that golfers do not reach into the cup to retrieve their ball.

  • Remove bunker rakes and ball washing stations around the course.

  • Add a hand washing station near the first and tenth tees.

  • Close the putting green and chipping area.

  • Close every other driving range stall to ensure at least 6 feet of separation between golfers.

  • No food and beverage services from our two concessions.

  • The restaurant will be open only for take away service.

  • Increase sanitation in public spaces and commonly touched areas.

  • Limit the number of staff working on site.

  • Screen all staff upon arrival each day to monitor their health.

  • Educate staff on effective hand washing techniques.

Our expectations of our guests are as follows:

  • Stay at home if you or anyone in your household have been sick within the last 14 days.

  • Stay at home if you have traveled within the last 14 days.

  • Practice physical distancing by staying a minimum of 6 feet away from other people at all times.

  • Wash your hands often while at our facility.

  • Practice coughing and sneezing etiquette.

  • Leave the pin in while putting.

  • Do not shake hands or high five to celebrate.

Anyone that does not comply with the above expectations is not allowed on the Aberdeen Glen property and will be asked to leave immediately.

We are prepared to navigate the challenging circumstances we are currently facing with everyone’s safety in mind.

We will continue to monitor the risks associated with COVID-19 on a daily basis and we will adjust our precautionary procedures as necessary.

Thank you for your understanding and patience during these times of transition and restriction.
